There exist 9 nonconvex uniform polyhedra whose name includes “hemi”. They are called hemipolyhedra. The duals of these hemipolyhedra share a unique feature, i.e. they are represented by a compound of prisms interpenetrating the center of symmetry. The great dirhombicosidodecahedron also is a hemipolyhedron. Its name does not include ”hemi” for the reason that it is one of the nonconvex snub polyhedra. A mathematical paper concerning such hemipolyhedra and their duals is currently carried in IJMSI (International Journal of Mathematics and Statistics Invention). Click here IJMSI , and click the title of the paper “Hemipolyhedra and their Duals” and further click “Download Full Article”. Then, you will find my paper. While it is quite brief with only 5 pages, it is highly colorful. I trust you will enjoy it.
